Glossop Coaching Day a Big Hit!

Our latest table tennis coaching event was another relatively local trip; taking place at Glossop Table Tennis Club at Glossopdale School & Sixth Form. The big sports hall, with its numerous tables all full with keen players, created a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, perfect for a day of intensive training and fun.

The event kicked off with a highly anticipated coaching session led by Alan, Nicola and Kelly. The Cooke & Deaton team were recommended to the club by previous Summer School participants Asa and Dave. Acting on this recommendation, Barry Fordham reached out to us, confident that his group of enthusiastic players would benefit immensely from the session. Barry was right—the players' enthusiasm and eagerness to improve were shown throughout the day.

Despite the limited time, we maximized every moment of the afternoon. The session began with top class demonstrations by the team, captivating everyone with their expertise and techniques. Following the coaching, we transitioned to a lively 90-minute "Play the Pro" segment. Kelly and Alan took turns playing against the participants, while Nic hosted a multi-ball practice station. The day flew by, as it always does when you're having fun. We received an overwhelmingly positive response from all participants, who expressed their enjoyment and appreciation for the event. The feedback was so enthusiastic that we've already scheduled a follow-up session with Glossop Table Tennis Club for early next year.
